Quick summary
If you are currently on Mounjaro 7.5mg, you may be wondering when the 10mg weight loss pens will be available to order in the UK. The manufacturer, Eli Lilly has been releasing the next dose every 4 weeks with the 10mg set to launch w/c 13th May. Habitual has holistic treatment plans, including access to 10mg Mounjaro, available for shipment from the later end of that same week.
Who is eligible for 10mg Mounjaro?
If you are at the beginning of your Mounjaro journey then you'll need to start on 2.5mg. The manufacturer guidance advises that patients must start on 2.5mg and titrate up in dosage monthly. This means that you will be able to move up to 10mg after 3 months of titrating.
Those patients who have titrated up through 2.5mg, 5mg, and 7.5mg will now be able to move up to 10mg depending on stock. If you are with another provider we’ve made it easy to switch to Habitual, as we have stock available starting w/c 13M 2024.

How effective is 10mg Mounjaro?
In a large randomised control trial on tirzepatide[1], the active ingredient in Mounjaro, weight loss results were seen to increase with increasing doses. There has been specific research carried out on the effectiveness of 10mg as well as 5mg and 15mg. Patients on 5mg saw an overall change in bodyweight of 15% compared to 19.5% for those on 10mg Mounjaro and 20.9% for 15mg.
How do I know whether to increase dosage from 7.5mg Mounjaro?
It's really down to your personal experience with Mounjaro. If you are experiencing little to no side effects and want to see if 10mg is more effective then moving up can be a good idea. Mounjaro pricing increases every two doses, so some people who are seeing good results on 5mg may choose to stay on that strength for longer however, 7.5mg is the same price as 10mg so again moving up might make sense.
For people seeing great results on 7.5mg may wish to stay on this dosage to avoid any potential increase in side effects.
With Habitual, we give you the option to choose each month whether you’d like to increase your dose each month, so you can always stay on one dose for a couple months and see how you get on.
When will 12.5mg Mounjaro be available?
We won’t have an exact date confirmed, but so far the manufacturer has released one higher strength per month, as they want to ensure patients are able to titrate up in dosage safely.
Given this, we expect 12.5mg Mounjaro to be available in around 4 weeks from when 10mg launched, so w/c 10th June.
